Ingredients:

1 package dry yeast

3/4 cup warm water

1 tablespoon sugar

2 cups flour

2 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix yeast and warm water.
  2. Mix in sugar. Beat in flour. Knead in bowl until smooth, about 10 minutes.
  3. Place dough on a floured board and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  4. Roll each piece into a rope 12 inches long.
  5. Shape each rope into a pretzel.
  6. Place on a greased baking sheet, brush with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Bake at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes or until browned. Cool on a rack.
