Ingredients:

2 pounds Black Sea bass (or other firm white fish)

oil for frying

1 egg, beaten

black pepper to taste

4 tablespoons flour

green onion, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1 tomato, chopped

fresh cilantro leaves, chopped

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

juice of 2 lemons or 2 limes

Directions:

  1. Fillet fish into 8 servings.
  2. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.
  3. Beat egg with black pepper.
  4. Dip fish in egg mixture, then in flour.
  5. Fry in hot oil for 5 minutes over medium heat, turning once.
  6. Meanwhile, sauté green onion, bell pepper, tomato, and cilantro.
  7. Toast sesame seeds.
  8. Remove fish from heat and place in a baking dish. Cover with cooked vegetables and toasted sesame seeds.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Serve with fresh lemon or lime juice.
